Tuition Protection Services
To assist students to either continue their studies through another course or different provider, or if they are eligible for a refund or loan re-credit for education and training that they paid but did not receive, students may refer to Tuition Protection Service.
LIHE is committed to providing tuition and course assurance protection. In the event that LIHE ceases to provide a course in which a student is enrolled an affected student is entitled to a choice of:
- an offer of a place in a similar course of study with a Second Provider without any requirement to pay the Second Provider any student contribution or tuition fee for any replacement units (this is known as the Course Assurance Option); or
- a refund of their up-front tuition fee payments for any unit of study that the student commences but does not complete because LIHE ceases to provide the course of which the unit forms part (this is known as the Student Contribution/Tuition Fee Repayment Option).
Students may refer to the Statement of Tuition Protection for more information and visit the Department of Education Tuition Protection Service page.
